Starkids at Invasion - Saturday panel: Was there...
Joey: I don't know if it was really funny, but we used to have this thing called Brant time where we would all just chant "Brant! Brant! Brant!" for a couple minutes. It used to make him super uncomfortable.
Starkid at Invasion: Talking about "the incident"...
Joey: The way I ended up on Starship was I did three days in Michigan at college then got the train to Chicago for rehearsals. On a Monday night were learning the dance to Beauty. And I made an off colour comment about the choreography and everyone - they were so mad at me.
Joe: Wait, just let me fill in the details, set the scene. We were super behind schedual and it was no fun and everyone hated everything and everyone. And Nick (Lang) was trying to teach people choreography and do the puppets at the same time. And Nick is literally the nicest person I know - like he can not be negative. Except this one time, because of what Joey said.
Joey: I was just like, there was this one move that was so boring and so I said we just keep doing this same move over and over again, can we not do something else. And everyone just stopped.
Joe: And so Nick was like "Do you want to direct this show", and Joey in this small voice said "no". And then Nick just left, he walked out of the room.
Joey: Then I left Chicago and got the train back to Ann Arbor and didn't see them all again for four days, But it was fine, we hugged it all out when we got back.

Jamie Lyn: Joey, I'd like to be you. But just so I could live with Brian Rosenthal for a day.
Lauren: I'd like to be Nick Lang. Nick is just such an incredible artist. I'd love to have that talent.
Joe: I'd like to be Darren, just so I could see what being rich and famous for a day would be like.
Brian: I was gonna say, I'd like to be Darren. But just so I could see how much damage I could do to his career in just one day.
Joey: I'd love to be Nico (Ager) because he just reads so much and I'd love to just do that. Just to sit all day and read the amounts he does. That'd be awesome.
Denise: I'd like to be Nick, because he just got a kitten and redid his bedroom to be kitten friendly. And there's now like feathers in his room and this little coffee table where it sleeps.
Meredith: I'd like to be Joey, because I just think that physical transformation would be funny to watch. Like, I would just shoot upwards.
Joey: So you just want to see the physical changes.
Meredith: Yeah, I'm probably just as hairy though.
